Date and time

June 9 @ 13:00 - 15:00

About this event

Understanding Spiritual Emergencies: Emerging From the Dark Night Part 4 Workshop Series with Fiona Robertson

Gradually, usually after several years, there is a sense of slowly emerging from the depths of the dark night and beginning to function in the outer world again. During this time, there may be a new sense of connectedness with self, others and with a sense of presence which may or may not be experienced as soul, sacredness, or the divine in some shape or form. A trust in life begins to emerge, and a sense of being able to be with oneself in much deeper ways than before.

In this workshop, the last of four, we will explore the notion of emergence, and how to accompany clients as they navigate this new terrain. We will discuss the difference between religious belief and the kind of spontaneous experiences of the numinous that often arise during the dark night, especially in its later stages. We will also explore how to support clients in their tentative emergence, and look at the longer-term legacy of the dark night.
