Anxiety is a common issue among clients and sometimes the generalised nature of this can be difficult and confusing to work with. At its root is fear. However, fear can sit on either of two different emotional circuits. Through introducing the Emotional Circuits of Fear and Panic/Grief via the work of Jaak Panksepp and Sarah Peyton, Jo Grace will support a deeper understanding at what is happening on a neurobiological level with clients. This can support a deeper understanding of the root of their anxiety and give more specific ways of working with that anxiety.

This workshop will introduce the theory of the 7 Circuits of Emotion with specific focus on the Fear and Panic/Grief Circuits and the related Neurotransmitters and Addictions. There will be embodied techniques to work with the circuits that can be used with clients.
