This four-part series, led by Aneesh de Vos and Helen Douglas, is tailored for practitioners in the helping professions, aiming to equip you with advanced understanding and effective tools to enhance your client support and professional practice.

The series begins with “Trauma & Menopause: An Examination of Historic and Prevailing Narratives”, scrutinising the traditional perceptions and misconceptions of menopause and trauma. Following this, “Trauma & Menopause: Empowering Clients within Patriarchal Society” looks into societal constructs, examining their impact on menopausal people and how practitioners can empower their clients within these contexts.

In the third workshop, “Trauma & Menopause: Hole in the Soul, from a Shattered State to Wholeness”, we delve into the emotional and psychological ramifications of trauma and menopause. Here, strategies are shared to facilitate a healing journey towards wholeness. Our series concludes with “Trauma & Menopause: Introduction to the Nexus of Shame, Grief & Humiliation”, where we explore complex emotional consequences of trauma and menopause, offering interventions to assist in the emotional recovery of clients.

Join us on this enlightening journey, where we explore the collision of trauma and menopause and endeavour to shift the narratives, fostering a deeper and more compassionate understanding that can enrich your professional practice
