There is a tendency to rely on the Freudian concept of ‘transference’ to describe some of the non-conscious communication that goes on between us as human- beings.
Is this relevant for person-centred therapists?
Are there different ways of conceptualising the-space-between us?

Previously a Director of Studies for the Dip/MSc Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy and Application at the Metanoia Institute, London, I have worked as a therapist in a number of different settings over the years.
