About

Alison Austin

Alison Austin is an accredited executive coach, specialising in mindful, resilient leadership for individuals and high performance for teams. Her experience spans working 1-2-1 with clients, coaching executive teams, running group coaching programs, and designing leadership development curriculum for organisations.

She is passionate about supporting mental health in the workplace (and beyond) and understands the relationship between mental health, performance and optimising one’s true potential. Central to this is her work with a wide range of individuals and organisations to define strategies around burnout recovery and prevention.

Having trained as a yoga and meditation teacher around 15 years ago, Alison began to explore the relationship between mindfulness and trauma after experiencing trauma herself during the first pandemic lockdown, back in 2020. This culminated in her recent training to teach mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR), as well as furthering her knowledge of trauma-sensitive mindfulness through her study with David Treleaven.

Alison is incredibly passionate about the powerful benefits that mindfulness practice offers and is keen to help people understand and avoid the potential pitfalls for those who have experienced trauma.

As therapists and coaches, we routinely incorporate a range of mindfulness techniques into our practice….
