This two-hour webinar will begin with Leilani Mitchell interviewing Richard about his book and then the floor will be opened to the audience to ask questions and connect with Richard on his ideas in this book and in general.

Richard’s latest book Early Affect Confusion: Relational Psychotherapy for the Borderline Client is a thoughtful and compassionate book to consider reading when we are working with people who may have been described as having a Borderline Personality Disorder. Richard is keen not to pathologize people’s behaviours but to explore them from a perspective of early affect confusion and presents ideas on how to attune to the clients’ unconscious communications and developmental need. He presents an enlightening perspective on psychotherapy for a variety of clients who suffer with internal criticism, emotional disturbances, and relational disruptions.
