Transference is a well known phenomena in the therapeutic world but is it fully understood, particularly in relation to developmental trauma and attachment ruptures.

When wounds have occurred at a young age the pain can be so intolerable that there can be an ongoing seeking for another to soothe that pain. This can result in a person believing that their unmet needs can only be met outside of themselves, by another.

This often leads to high expectations being placed onto the therapist with themes of being let down and even harmed.

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

  • what is trauma transference
  • the types of early ruptures that can lead to trauma transference
  • how trauma transference differs from transference & projection that are common occurrences in the therapy room
  • how to identify and work with trauma transference when it presents

Kate is know for her relaxed teaching style, experiential somatic practices and skill of bringing theory to life and making it applicable.
