The notion of betrayal is a polysemous concept that appears omnipresent in our psychological life. Betrayals occur on and from multiple fronts: towards others, towards oneself, towards a culture, betrayals of the body, failed acts, etc. Everything seems to show that the fate of betrayals oscillates between destructiveness and survival/differentiation.
During our session, we will explore the “place” of the traitor and the “notion” that emerges from it, in an effort to echo or give different meanings to some aspects of our practices. This exploration could benefit our listening skills and intervention modalities, enhancing our therapeutic approach.
