Workshop Details
Impenetrable. Abstract. Irrelevant.
In my role as a trainer, I’ve often heard these claims directed at Carl Rogers’ 19 Propositions (1951), yet, and clickbait parody aside, I sincerely argue that there are clear and obvious benefits for you in engaging with these foundational aspects of the Person-Centred Approach (PCA).
My aim over this workshop is to demystify and explore with you five key aspects of the Nineteen through large and small group discussion, with a clear emphasis on linking these concepts to your own day-to-day counselling practice.
As such, this workshop may appeal to:
- PCA therapists looking to integrate the Propositions into their everyday work
- PCA trainers looking to refine their engagement with and delivery of theory
- Anyone interested in connecting with the core philosophy of the PCA in a non-psychobabbling, accessible manner
Now, I cannot *genuinely* claim that Number 3 will shock you, but I’m more than willing to try…
