Workshop Details
In this workshop we’ll be taking a look at how when certain relational conditions are in place, a child can grow up to experience joy and connection: two important states for living a fulfilled, connected and satisfied life. When ruptures occur or when a child has chronic unmet needs their life becomes one of struggle and strife often tainted with feelings of emptiness, loneliness and despair. Whilst this workshop is part of a series it also serves as a standalone workshop.
When we have a secure base, we flow between connection and retreat throughout our day and life able to make choice from a felt sense level. In this workshop you’ll learn how this can become interrupted robbing a person of pleasure & joy.
This workshop draws upon neuroscience and object relations to explain what a baby needs to flourish and experience the wonder of the world and how this can go horribly wrong for some. This workshop will be experiential including movement in order to gain a somatic understanding of the developing baby.
