Health professionals, Counsellors, social worker, family support workers, or any professionals involved with working with mums with social care involvement. This course will help provide a clearer understanding of the legal process and also how to work with the mums to engage and support them therapeutically.
AIMS OF THE COURSE
On Completion of the day, you will be able to:
- Explain the different types of loss, ectopic, miscarriage, neonatal death, still birth.
- Explore the medical support that is available.
- Look at the effects loss can have on relationships.
- Explore the legal process that takes place.
- Look at therapeutic approaches to working with mums and families.

Kate is a person-centered counsellor and founder/CEO of the charity Motherwell Cheshire, a women and girls mental health charity. Kate is a mum of 3 children passionate about supporting mums mental wellbeing after her own struggles when becoming a parent.
Kate has been a counsellor for 12 years working in a Person Centred Approach. Kate is the founder of a women and girls mental health charity Motherwell Cheshire, of which she has won many awards for.
Kate has worked therapeutically with mums involved with Social Care and also mums who have had the children removed for many years and is passionate about supporting them to move with their lives.
