In this online workshop, Mark will present some of the material from his research-based treatment manual for depression. In particular, he will be discussing a series of specific processes which common amongst people who have depression and which contribute towards maintaining the depression. Mark will also discuss a number of strategies of how to work with these in therapy.

Mark is a UKCP registered psychotherapist, teaching and supervising transactional analyst and EMDR Europe accredited practitioner. He is passionate about integrating neuroscience into psychotherapy and in finding ways for therapists to make use of research findings in their practice. He is the author of Transactional Analysis: 100 Key Points and Techniques and Transactional Analysis for Depression: A step-by-step treatment manual. He has received two international awards for his research on the effectiveness of TA for depression and is a TEDx speaker. He has a private practice in central Manchester and is a senior lecturer in counselling and psychotherapy at the University of Salford.
