In this workshop Karin and Jane will be talking about Janes book ‘Grow Your Private Practice’.

The tagline for Jane’s book is ‘You’re qualified, you have a room, now how do you attract clients?’

Because getting qualified is a little like when the hero and the girl get married and live ‘happily ever after’…. that’s not the end of the story, it’s just the beginning.

Now, there is a new set of skills to learn, and some self-sabotage walls to dismantle in order for your practice to become successful.

And Jane’s book ‘Grow Your Private Practice’ will motivate and inspire you to take the necessary actions to attract your dream clients and build a successful practice to be proud of.

Karin will also be answering questions from authors interested in participating, but also about her books, in a conversation with the attendees.

Presenter

Jane Travis

Hi, I’m Jane and I run the ‘Grow Your Private Practice Club’, and am author of the ‘Grow Your Private Practice’ book.

I was a counsellor and supervisor, successfully running my private practice ‘Reflections Counselling Lincoln’ from 2005 to August 2019. I also founded and ran the ‘Lincoln Counsellors Network’ for 4 years.

I previously ran an online blog and business (janetravis.com), and before becoming a therapist, I ran two other successful small businesses.

Over time I’ve learnt – very often by my mistakes! – about marketing, branding, niches, blogging, websites, social media, costing, planning and multiple income streams, along with achieving a work/life balance.

Now, I help other counsellors to build their private practices through the ‘Grow Your Private Practice Club’, where I provide training, support, and resources to help them build the practice they want, whether that be just a few clients a week, something full time, or using their skills to diversify.

I live in beautiful Lincoln with my dog Kim.

Karin Brauner

Karin Brauner is a twice published author, a bilingual coach/counsellor/psychotherapist, as well as a supervisor in private practice. She trained in Guatemala and in Brighton, England. Karin has always been interested in many areas, which focus on her training as a therapist, but also her passion for writing and IT. These have led her to have a variety of services and product offerings, which she keeps adding to. These include social media marketing and content creation, as well as website support, tutoring, academic support, and other areas.

Karin is passionate about everything she does, and she enjoys seeing her colleagues and clients thrive in their work and lives. This is why she’s offering these workshops (and other courses to come in the near future). She enjoys supporting people be the best they can be, meeting them right where they are, and together figuring out what the best way forward is.

Marketing on social media became a focus of Karin’s back in 2017, when she started blogging. This propelled her practice into moving from 2-4 clients, to a full client list, followed by supervisees and now coaching clients as well. This means she can now offer the learning she’s done in the past few years, to practitioners starting their practices or thinking of growing their practices but needing the practical support to do so.

That’s what Karin offers – practical support to get you on the right track to building a successful business (whatever that means to each one of us individually).
