“Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor, the enemy of the people. It will keep you insane your whole life.” – ANNE LAMOTT

Every change begins with becoming more conscious. “what is it that I do that ensures others are always so….”?

In this workshop we will firstly examine the anxieties behind fear of failure. The role that anxiety serves and where it possibly sabotages. We will explore perfectionism and its origins and what it hopes to achieve. Lesley will present the circular patterns of thinking, behaving, and feeling that can often deplete us and our clients and can lead to decreased performance, disappointment and burn-out.

In the second half of the morning Lesley will engage us in six reflective exercises for familiarising ourselves with our own unconscious convictions that keep underlying anxiety alive. These exercises are useful to adapt and to use with your own clients to improve consciousness and to alter unfruitful behaviour that depletes energy and takes us out of contact with ourselves and others.

We look forward to a relaxed and productive morning of equipping and self-reflection for increased wellbeing and improving your client work.

We will work individually, not in groups or breakout rooms but from the comfort of your own space. For it is better to do something imperfectly than to do nothing flawlessly.
