In 2016, Online Events revisited the Gloria film from the 60s, by inviting counsellors from 7 different modalities to counsel Mike Trier, in order to showcase how they operate as counsellors. For each event, the client and the issue were the same, but the counsellor changed.
We now wanted to set up a new series of ‘Live Counselling’. In this first event, Mike was back as client, but with a different issue. Half the session was taken up with Kevin counselling Mike, and the other half was a conversation about the session between John, Kevin, and Mike, with contributions from the chatrooms.
We hoped that others would be willing to put themselves forward as possible clients or counsellors, for future ‘Live Counselling’ events.

Presenter
I have many years of experience in working with people, a history of around 25 years.
Moving from a role in the NHS 6 years ago in to private practise. A job that feels like a dream come true, the ability to work with a client through their journey in a way that is best for them.
During a 10 year role with the NHS, I worked with the LGBTQ+ community, working one to one with service users, and delivering awareness sessions around gender and sexuality into schools, health setting’s, and other professionals.
In private practise, I continue to work with the LGBTQ+ community and continue to deliver awareness raising session to other therapists, in the hopes that I can bring a greater understanding and support to this often misunderstood community.
I have a private practice in Sheffield, mainly counselling couples, but I also counsel individuals. I am a supervisor and offer training, both to young people and adults.
I am BACP Accredited, and achieved both my Person-Centred Diploma in Counselling, and Person Centred Certificate in Supervision at Temenos, in Sheffield.
