It isn’t any secret that these unprecedented times of COVID-19, and the resulting lockdowns, are having an impact on the mental health of many people; with grief, isolation, and anxiety all being hot topics of conversation. However, one group of individuals seems to be particularly affected and that’s those with Eating Disorders. Beat – a UK Eating Disorder Charity – has seen huge spikes in demands for services, clients have been unable to access their usual services, and for some, lockdown has triggered the onset of eating difficulties.
In this 1 hour session, we discussed some of the latest findings – from research, to service provision, and the challenges many of our clients are reporting. As always, Kel was more than happy to take questions from participants and came equipped with the latest facts, stats, and experiences.
