In this event, we explored the link between client experiencing levels and outcomes in therapy. We also briefly explored how therapists can flatten clients’ experiencing levels when we inadvertently flatten our own responses, and deepen experiencing levels when we offer deepening responses to our clients. This research was relevant across the therapeutic models.

John Threadgold

I hold an MA in Focusing and Experiential Psychotherapy and a Level 6 Diploma’s in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy, and Supervision. I am a recognized Focusing teacher by the British Focusing Association and the International Focusing Institute. I also run a private counselling and supervision practice called New Focus Therapy, and offer therapy supervision and focusing training for therapists and the public.
