‘In Conversation’ Session 2 (of 5) REGISTER FOR THE FULL SERIES HERE
Are eating disorders hiding in plain sight?
It’s easy to assume that eating disorders are always obvious, but many go unnoticed in therapy. Therapists might miss the subtle signs, fail to ask about food and body image, or dismiss comments as unrelated to deeper issues. Yet, poor nutrition can contribute to anxiety, depression, and sleep difficulties—issues that often bring clients to therapy in the first place. In this relaxed, conversational session, Kel O’Neill and John (OE) will explore:
• Why eating disorders might not be as visible as we think.
• The importance of asking the right questions about food, body image, and nutrition.
• How subtle signs might indicate a deeper struggle with eating behaviours.
This informal session encourages reflection and discussion, with attendees welcome to ask questions and share insights. Kel and John’s engaging, conversational approach makes this hour of CPD accessible, thought-provoking, and packed with practical ideas to help therapists better recognise eating disorders in their practice.
