About this event
Embarking on a counselling or psychotherapy course is often driven by a passion for helping others rather than a love for academic work. Navigating such courses can be particularly challenging, especially for those with neurodivergence. This series of five workshops aims to provide trauma informed study support, helping students identify and overcome blocks to their studies over the course of the academic year.
Session overview
Each of the sessions will include:
- Exploring blocks to studying through a trauma informed perspective
- Practical activities and reflections using basic brainspotting (BSP) and breathwork techniques
- Tips to enhance study efficiency and enjoyment
- The opportunity to share experience and tips
- In the last session the opportunity to share ideas to shape the future of psychotherapy and counselling courses attended by John Wilson
