The Creator archetype and its partner the Magician are archetypes of the solar plexus.
As children, we are all infinitely creative. We are curious. We have not yet learned that some creative expression (a drawing that will be proudly displayed on the fridge) is appreciated, and some (decorating the room with strawberry yogurt) is not.
Our need for love, approval, and validation can curb our creative expression in its infancy, meaning we are overly cautious about discovering what would bring us joy, and what could bring a whole new level of success to our business.
In its shadow form, this archetype can make us seek validation, approval or personal glory for our creative expression. This can make us fearful of trying new things. It can block any creative expression that wants to emerge.
Join me as we explore this archetype and learn tools to ensure its free, joyous, authentic expression.

Eleanor O’Rourke
Eleanor O’Rourke is a creativity coach and author of four books on Creativity; Depression as unexpressed creativity; Creative Freedom and Flow.
She trained in a variety of modalities including NLP, Psychology of Vision, Shamanic practice and is a certified archetype consultant trained by Caroline Myss.
