Our June Soul Portals guest is the author of The Psychology of Spirituality, which is a comprehensive exploration of the interface between the two domains, that in turn informs best practices. Spiritually integrated practitioners seek to explore the ways in which spirituality, religion, and the search for meaning influence their own lives and the lives of their clients. It is based on the premise that a sense of the sacred has always been a primary attribute of human nature and a major positive force in the lives of many people. Spirituality is therefore fully woven into human experience and is part of the therapeutic process whether we attend to it or not. It represents the quest for the transcendent and the deeply human desire to experience something of ultimate value.

This event will be recorded and you can use the ticket function to pre-purchase the recording before the event. This will be useful for colleagues who are not able to attend the event live and also for those who attend the event live and want to watch it again.
ZOOM
This event will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform where we will use our cameras and microphones to interact with each other as a group.
SELF-SELECT FEE
The self-select fee is a radical inclusion policy to open learning for all colleagues. The guide price for this event is £20.00, however, we appreciate that income varies greatly in different locations and circumstances. Cedric M. Speyer
Cedric M. Speyer, M.A., M.Ed., RP, is an author, Registered Psychotherapist, and presently a mentor to coaches, counsellors, and therapists. He pioneered E-counselling in Canada, overseeing 100K online cases before establishing InnerView Guidance International (IGI). The vision of IGI brings together the historically separate domains of mental health and spiritual awareness in a new synthesis for the helping professions.
DeeAnna Merz Nagel
DeeAnna Merz Nagel, D.Th., LPC, LMHC, BCC, is a licensed psychotherapist and board-certified coach. DeeAnna teaches the ethical integration of alternative and psychospiritual approaches for coaches and therapists. She holds several certifications in the healing arts including Reiki and aromatherapy. DeeAnna’s doctoral studies focused on multifaith spiritual direction.
Larry Culliford
A retired physician and psychiatrist, Dr. Larry Culliford is the author of numerous influential journal papers, articles, blog posts, book chapters and books on mental health and wellbeing, focusing on happiness, wisdom, and spirituality (see website link below for details). Larry is the co-originator of the non-profit World Wide Wave of Wisdom website (www.wwwow.net) offering advice about personal development towards wisdom and spiritual maturity. He is a patron of the mental health charity Being Alongside, a former chair of the Thomas Merton Society of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and a long-term member of the Scientific and Medical Network.
