Picking Up A Pen Part 2 – Kim Pearl

Date and time

July 17 @ 13:00 - 15:00

About this event

Picking Up A Pen Part 2 Workshop with Kim Pearl

This is an interactive workshop where participants will be asked to consider some exercise questions, to jot down their thoughts and to share them in the breakout rooms.

We hope that people would be able to bring parts of those discussions into the large group.

No one will have to share their writing specifically.

The aim is to think about our work with clients in slightly different ways, to “see the aslant” as it were. We aim to sprinkle some imagination, creativity and fun into supervision.

Learning Objective Participants Can Expect From This Event

  • To foster a different and possibly deeper understanding of our work as counsellors and therapists.
  • It might be that we can understand different aspects of our clients and deepen our empathic connection.
  • To remind ourselves that supervision can be a creative play space.

Who is This Workshop Appropriate For?

  • Anyone working as a counsellor, therapist or coach.

How May This Workshop Impact Your Practice?

  • It is hoped that participants will learn a little more about themselves and a lot more about their clients.

Kim Pearl

I have been a counsellor for almost 30 years and a supervisor for almost as long. I trained as a person centred practitioner and that remains the soul of my work. Experience has helped me embrace other modalities and understandings.

I have worked as a supervisor and tutor in various colleges and universities and as a staff counsellor in a London NHS Trust for over two decades. I have an ongoing private practice which focuses mainly on my love of supervision.
