Peer Group Supervision: Independent Supervisors Network (ISN)

Date and time

November 12 @ 18:00 - 20:00

About this event

Peer Group Supervision: Independent Supervisors Network (ISN) Hosted by Joan Wilmot and John Wilson

Join us for a unique event that bridges the gap between experienced peer supervision groups and those eager to join a peer group. The ISN community warmly welcomes existing peer groups, offering them a space to thrive, while also providing a platform for individuals to connect and form new peer supervision groups. Dive into an evening of shared wisdom, collective growth, and the strengthening of our professional village.

The Independent Supervisors Network grew out of a supervisor’s symposium a few years ago. The intention was, and still is, to support supervisors across professions and in particular peer supervision groups and dyads. Peer groups and dyads can join the network – see website – and also people looking to form or join a peer group. The structure also provides peer supervision to the groups and dyads by being able to visit each other’s groups to provide learning, feedback, and cross-fertilisation.

‘It takes a village… The importance of community is core to our wellbeing so welcome to our village!

The evening will be hosted by Joan Wilmot and John Wilson.

Programme

  • Introduction and supervision focused on a theme.
  • Break out rooms for your own supervision in your groups and dyads and for people without a peer group to get together in break out rooms for peer supervision.

ZOOM

This workshop will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform where we will use our cameras and microphones to interact with each other as a group.

SELF-SELECT FEE

The self-select fee is a radical inclusion policy to open learning for all colleagues. We appreciate that income varies greatly in different locations and circumstances. Please contribute what you can to help us maintain inclusive professional training.

Joan Wilmot

I have been a supervisor for 50 years, co founded Centre for Supervision and Terms Development in 1979 with Peter Hawkins, Judy Ryde and Robin Shohet and have been running supervision trainings ever since and still loving it.

John Wilson

I have been facilitating in Counselling & Psychotherapy programmes in the UK for more than 10 years.

I am currently the director at Temenos Education and have a private practice where I offer online Psychotherapy and Supervision using video and chat communication platforms along with virtual environments. I am also the co-founder of onlinevents which has grown to be the world’s largest library of online video and audio content with instant certification and a learning log.

I am also a past chair of the Association for Counselling & Therapy Online (ACTO) and have served for 6 years on the board of the World Association for Person Centered & Experiential Psychotherapy & Counselling. My passion to bring online learning into the field of Counselling & Psychotherapy has also led to the development of online experiential learning within the Temenos programme, facilitating the exposure of Temenos students to external tutors who are located in different parts of the world. Along with the inclusion of experiential learning of online Counselling & Psychotherapy for Temenos students so that they qualify with knowledge and practice in online communication and relationship.
