This workshop will explore the emotions that may face new mums. It will also explore the physical changes that may also face and impact a women.
This workshop will also discuss the difference between postnatal depression and “baby blues”.
The workshops addresses:
Understanding what statutory support offered to new mums
Understand how new mums are featured in the Women’s Health strategy
Understand measurement tools for new mums.

- Understand how to recognise the signs of Post natal support and also what is available in local community to support new mums.
RECORDING
This workshop will be recorded and you can use the ticket function to pre-purchase the recording before the event. This will be useful for colleagues who are not able to attend the event live and also for those who attend the event live and want to watch it again.
ZOOM
This workshop will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform where we will use our cameras and microphones to interact with each other as a group.

Kate Blakemore
Kate Blakemore BA (hons) Bus. Man. Diploma in Counselling. Award in Teaching. Diploma in fertility counselling.
Kate is a person centred counsellor and has had her own private practice for 12 years. Kate is also the founder on Motherwell Cheshire a charity set up to support women and girls mental health and wellbeing. Kate is also the author of the book – “Mums the word – The Mothering Journey”.
Kate is a birth trauma champion and specialises in birth trauma and developed Cherry Blossom Birth Trauma and Infant Loss support as part of the charity.
QUALIFICATIONS
-BA (hons) Business Management
-Counselling Diploma in Person-Centered Counselling
-Accredited infant loss counsellor
-Specialist Birth trauma counsellor
-Diploma in Specialist infant loss counselling
– Currently working towards a diploma is Compassion Training Therapy.
