Nurturing Mums: Supporting and Understanding Post Natal Care Workshop with Kate Blakemore

This workshop will explore the emotions that may face new mums. It will also explore the physical changes that may also face and impact a women.

This workshop will also discuss the difference between postnatal depression and “baby blues”.

  • Understand how new mums are featured in the Women’s Health strategy
  • Understand measurement tools for new mums

  • This workshop is appropriate for Health Professionals, Counsellors, Social Workers, Support Workers, and anyone involved in supporting the mental health of new mums.

  • Understand the difference between postnatal depression and “baby blues”
  • Understand how you can support postnatal care therapeutically
  • Do’s and Don’ts when supporting Post Natal Depression

RECORDING 

This workshop will be recorded and you can use the ticket function to pre-purchase the recording before the event. This will be useful for colleagues who are not able to attend the event live and also for those who attend the event live and want to watch it again.

ZOOM 

This workshop will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform where we will use our cameras and microphones to interact with each other as a group.

SELF-SELECT FEE

The self-select fee is a radical inclusion policy to open learning for all colleagues. The guide price for this event is £20.00, however, we appreciate that income varies greatly in different locations and circumstances. Kate Blakemore

Kate Blakemore BA (hons) Bus. Management . Diploma in Counselling. Award in Teaching. Mentoring qualification. Reiki 2 qualified. Diploma in Fertility counselling. Accredited counsellor in infant Loss.

Kate is a person-centered counsellor and founder/CEO of the charity Motherwell Cheshire, a women and girls mental health charity. Kate is a mum of 3 children passionate about supporting mums mental wellbeing after her own struggles when becoming a parent.

Kate has been a counsellor for 12 years working in a Person Centred Approach. Kate is the founder of a women and girls mental health charity Motherwell Cheshire, of which she has won many awards for.

Kate is also the author of the book “Mums the Word – The Mothering Journey”
