This workshop explores perimenopause and menopause, how it can impact women’s health and mental health.
It will discuss the issues currently facing the women and also explain the current campaigns that are campaigning for change in relation to menopause.
Discussion will also take place on what other issues may face women at this stage on their life.
Learning Objective Participants Can Expect From This Event
- Understand the symptoms physically and emotionally related to menopause.
- Explore how menopause fits into the Women’s Health Strategy.
- Understand how society can impact feelings around menopause, and how you can support women and how women can support themselves.

- Health Care professionals. counselllors, support workers, and individuals who are interested in knowing more about the menopause.

- Have an understanding of how experiencing the menopause can impact women mentally and physically.
RECORDING
This workshop will be recorded and you can use the ticket function to pre-purchase the recording before the event. This will be useful for colleagues who are not able to attend the event live and also for those who attend the event live and want to watch it again.
ZOOM
This workshop will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform where we will use our cameras and microphones to interact with each other as a group.

Kate is also the author of “Mums the Word – The Mothering Journey”
Kate is a person-centered counsellor and founder/CEO of the charity Motherwell Cheshire, a women and girls mental health charity.
Kate is a mum of 3 children passionate about supporting mums mental wellbeing after her own struggles when first becoming a parent.
Kate is open about currently going through peri menopause at the moment.
Kate Blakemore is the founder of the charity www.motherwellcheshirecio.com a Women’s and Girls Health and Wellbeing Charity. The charity hosts many menopause cafes.
Kate is also leading on a Cheshire wide menopause manifesto.
