About this event

How to Stop Your Inner Critic from Derailing Your Creative Dreams Workshop with Eleanor O’Rourke

We all have a voice in our head that narrates our experience of life. It seems to act as a buffer zone between our external reality and our inner senses. In its positive aspect it shields us from being hurt (physically or emotionally). It warns us to have boundaries or to make different decisions. It its negative aspect it stops our creative impulses and sabotages our joy.

This workshop allows you to have a better conversation with one of the forces that govern our behaviour. If we learn to manage it consciously it won’t act out unconsciously.

Learning Objective Participants Can Expect From This Event

  • An understanding of archetypal dynamics and unconscious patterns.
  • How our early childhood conditioning influenced the roles we now play out unconsciously.
  • A deep dive into our relationship with the Judge archetype – the archetype that juggles the energy of order vs chaos.

Who is This Workshop Appropriate For?

  • Therapists and anyone interested in exploring their own archetypal dynamics.

How May This Workshop Impact Your Practice?

  • By understanding these patterns in ourselves, we can help others through their own archetypal dynamics.

This event will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform where we will use our cameras and microphones to interact with each other as a group.

Eleanor O’Rourke

Eleanor is passionate about awakening people to their own creative spirit. She believes everyone has a creative soul but many have lost touch with this aspect of themselves – either through willingness to conform, desire for validation or fear of vulnerability.

People everywhere are becoming aware that our methodical minds are too slow to cope with the ever-increasing speed at which the world is turning. We have an epidemic in stress, anxiety and depression. Exhaustion is the order of the day.

The answer lies in accessing our inner creative flow. Doing this reduces our reliance on adrenaline and increases our intuitive decision-making capabilities.

Eleanor has over thirty years experience in a variety of modalities including NLP, Psychology of Vision and is a certified archetype consultant trained by Caroline Myss. She is the author of four books on various aspects of the creative process.

  • 40 Days 40 Nights – one woman’s quest to reclaim her creative mojo.
  • Breakdown – a rebel’s take on depression
  • The Freedom Project – how to find contentment in a crazy world
  • Flow without the F*ckery – wake up your killer creativity
