About this event

How to Go Beyond Survival Mode, and Claim Your Right To Be Workshop with Lisa Francesca Lewak

How to go beyond survival mode and reclaim your right to be is an interactive and experiential workshop.

The underlying element of consciousness that forms our foundation is the instinct to survive. This innate aspect is archaic, fundamental and unavoidable which runs the base-line programme of our physical existence. When threatened, it dominates all other functions of consciousness.

From a very early age some of us get stuck in survival mode. A number of the root causes come from our environment, the family we are born into and the beliefs they hold about life due to their own experiences. When caretakers live in a survival, scarcity-lack of or deprivation mode children are likely to imitate these role models and take on such opinions about the world.

The home, neighbourhood, school, friends and peer groups that a person grows up in impacts their early childhood development. Depending on the character of the individual, however, they could stay in this mode for the rest of their life accepting it as their lot, or they could find ways to break out of the cycles and patterns to create a whole new way of being and life for themselves.

Regardless of the set of cards we have been dealt with at our birth we all have the possibility to re-create our lives as we would like it to be; thus reclaiming our Right To Be, which is one of the rights that all people have access to.

In this session we will look at survival needs and fears, how the cycles are created, perpetuated or inherited and what people can do to break them. One of the ways to shift this way of being is through Dream Work. In this workshop we will learn about and explore different dream states, and how dreams & dreaming can offer ways to move beyond a survival state.

Dream work can practically support people who have survival issues and lead to positive outcomes.
