About this event

Encounter-ND Summer ’25: Brief Encounter for Neurodivergent Therapists Part 2 Workshop with Matt Bolton

This staggered 2-part, encounter-style group meeting is meant to build on connections made and ways of relating experienced during the 3-day Encounter-ND event of November 2024. It is meant as a segue to this year’s November event (dates forthcoming). Participants will be able to attend both or only one meeting as their schedules allow.

Whether you are interested in discussing a particular theory or topic of therapy, really getting into the moment experientially, seeking a space in which you may feel free just to be and observe, looking to network with like-minded individuals, or simply wanting to learn from others in a supportive space, there is room for you here! Conversation may be as structured or as structured as participants wish, and there will be no pressure on anyone to participate. All will be received with compassion and empathy.

To ensure adequate attention to all who desire it, this event is limited to 80 people. Furthermore, to encourage open sharing and communication, this event will not be recorded.

Matt Bolton

Matt Bolton is in the final months of a clinical social work master’s degree at Saint Leo University in Florida. Person-centered, neuroaffirming, and culturally sensitive but, perhaps most of all curious about and appreciative of others’ experiences, he enjoys therapeutic work with a wide array of persons who go through varied life problems. Matt incorporates a systemic perspective to deconstruct and examine social power structures. This empowers his consideration of the intricate, intersectional functioning and relating of the person in their environment. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology and is an adjunct instructor of psychology and first-year experience courses at Saint Leo. Matt enthusiastically engages in cross-discipline research and writes on matters of learning, life, neurodivergence, and person-centeredness. He facilitates a weekly, encounter-format peer support group for neurodivergent therapists and counselors.
