Inner Child work can be incredibly powerful and impactful in therapeutic work and the ideas originated from TA.
Workshop Details
To work effectively its important that we work safely with our clients by creating an environment where you both feel held and contained. Over the past 30 years of working as an internationally qualified Psychotherapist with a wide range of clients I have developed my thinking and expertise in this area.
A focus on Building the relationship and attachment is the foundation from where we can understand psychological defences and their role in keeping a sense of safety. Using Inner Child works can help clients to untangle their thoughts feelings and behaviours and means they can improve their self regulation and ability to self sooth.
The content of this two hour workshop will include the importance of positive Functional Parent ego states to give structure and containment. We will look at developmental deficits and the role they play in feelings of anxiety and fear. Also included will be a model to understand how emotional regulation and attunement with our own Child ego state is vital.
