Many of our clients have experienced inadequate care in their early years and come to therapy feeling depressed, hopeless and even suicidal at times. Their early emotional and attunement deficiencies can cause havoc in relationships and lead them to feeling misunderstood, not fitting in and fluctuating between wanting closeness and then feeling threatened by it.
Much of the work we do as therapist is reparative where we create the space for unmet needs to be explored, emotional & attunement deficiencies to be met and relational ruptures to be grieved and new connections to be made.
In this workshop we’ll explore the neuroscience and theory (from psychodynamic and humanistic) of the therapeutic relationship and how reparation of a deep level can me made enabling your clients brain to be rewired for joy, connection, fulfilment and satifaction.
