How did your experience of school affect how you are now ? What Script decisions have you made in relation to those experiences? What was your group experience like? What influence did the teachers have on you? Was it positive or negative? Did that early experience help or hinder you as an adult learner?
In client work there is often a focus on the experience of family relationships in childhood when considering how peoples past affects current issues. Most people will have spent a significant amount of time within the school environment and this will have impacted them and the decisions they have made about self, others and the world.
As an educator I am passionate about the impact of school and in this workshop we will explore all of these issues using ideas from TA using such people as Berne, Steiner, English, Erskine, Illsley-Clarke and Barrow. I will invite you to reflect on your own experience of education, who your mentors have been and the impact of this with a view to you considering this while working with clients.

Harpal began by developing her skills in the corporate world after a BA (Hons) in Business Administration. She now has eighteen years experience as a Primary School Educator and has broadened her skills and achievements to encompass: Mindfulness; Working Therapeutically with Young People and Children; Neuroscience; Counselling; Bereavement and Transactional Analysis for Education.
