This workshop with look at LGBTQIA+ people who identify as gender questioning or of a fluid sexuality. How can we offer a service which is genuinely inclusive of all genders and sexualities? What are the barriers for people of all sexualities and genders accessing services. We will discuss pronouns and how to acknowledge them in an easy relaxed manner. We will also look at why some people like to feel part of a specific community based upon their gender/sexuality and while others prefer to remain more transient. We will also look at the those who see themselves as part of the ‘queer community’ and what that actually means. And we will explore how homophobia, bi-phobia and transphobia can manifest itself in a overt or covert way.

Del has over twenty years’ experience working with marginalised and heavily stigmatised groups including LGBTQIA+, people involved in Chemsex and substance misuse, male survivors of sexual violence and domestic abuse, people living with HIV, and those involved in the sex industry. He has developed and delivered services for the NHS, Terrence Higgins Trust, National Ugly Mugs and SurvivorsUK where he is still the Senior Facilitator in their groupwork programme and runs the Surviving Chemsex group. He is the founder of Delversity and the Chair of The Josephine Butler Society.
