Ability to utilise audit and evaluation tools to monitor and maintain standards within practice settings
SCoPEd Competence Addressed
- Competence 4.15.B – Ability to utilise audit and evaluation tools to monitor and maintain standards within practice settings
Workshop Description
This workshop is part of the SCoPEd Training series, designed to support practitioners in meeting the knowledge-based competences outlined in the SCoPEd framework.
Auditing and evaluation are vital skills for therapeutic practitioners, yet I would argue strongly that there is little explicit, focussed and solid training around what comprises auditing in counselling and therapy.
This overlooked competence will be addressed through a structured presentation with interactive elements, and participants will explore, among other aspects, the following:
- The fundamentals: what is therapeutic auditing and evaluation and why is it relevant for the work that we do
- Strategies for making the most of auditing in various practice settings
- Why auditing, when done well, can be in itself therapeutic
- A fundamental question: who or what ultimately are we evaluating and auditing over our work?
This workshop is essential for practitioners seeking to enhance their understanding of auditing and evaluation over therapy to meet accreditation requirements under the SCoPEd Framework, as well as for practitioners, supervisors and organisational leaders who work and lead in this ever-present area of therapeutic practice.
Who Should Attend
This workshop will benefit:
- Counsellors and psychotherapists who need to evidence training for accreditation and SCoPEd requirements.
- Practitioners aiming to explore and enhance their day-to-day practice.
- Supervisors and organisational leaders responsible for client welfare.
- Trainers and educators supporting others to meet SCoPEd competencies.
SCoPEd Training Workshop Series
This workshop is part of a series covering all knowledge-based learning outcomes and competencies outlined in the SCoPEd framework. Onlinevents’ radical inclusion policy ensures everyone can participate by offering pay-what-you-can tickets for live workshops and affordable access to recordings in the Learning Library. This aligns with Onlinevents’ mission to make learning within the helping professions accessible to all.
While this series does not constitute a full training programme, it offers a thorough grounding in the knowledge-based competencies described by SCoPEd. These workshops are an excellent foundation for those looking to expand their understanding and prepare for further training. To meet all competencies and integrate this knowledge into practical skills and personal development, participants should consider additional training programmes that support integration into practice.
