GDPR: 6 Months On . . . . What Do We Know Now – Alison Moore

Presenter

Alison Moore

Alison is an enthusiastic advocate for counselling, known for their innovative approach to mental health care. With a passion for making therapy more accessible and efficient, Alison has dedicated their career to the study and practice of single-session therapy. As a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, Alison has spent years researching the economic, social, and ethical dimensions of mental health services.

As an accredited therapist, Alison has witnessed firsthand the challenges and limitations of traditional therapy models. This experience fuelled their pursuit of a more streamlined approach, leading to the development of the “Self-Contained Therapy” model. Alison’s work emphasises the importance of immediate intervention, aligning with the modern world’s pace without compromising the quality of care.

Alison is not only a practitioner but also an advocate for change in mental health policies. They have been instrumental in initiating dialogues on the importance of adapting to the evolving needs of society.

At the upcoming event, Alison will share insights from their extensive research and clinical experience, offering a compelling case for the adoption of single-session therapy. Attendees can expect to leave with a new perspective on therapy that promises to transform their practice and the lives of their clients.

Alison has had a successful therapy practice for more than 14 years, now working solely online. Alison also has a thriving Supervision practice where she blends clinical knowledge and experience with business acumen to support supervisees in their practices.

Alison enjoys dachshund wrangling and spending time in the Thin Places of West Cornwall. And listening to audiobooks about absolutely anything.
