Workshop Details
In this workshop you’ll be introduced to the wonders of the breath and somatic resources for dealing with stress and anxiety.
The effects of chronic overexposure to cortisol through stress can have lasting affects on our emotional and physical health. Prolonged cortisol elevations result in sustained elevations of blood sugar, substantial loss of calcium from bones, depression of important immune responses, high blood pressure, loss of muscle mass, increased fat accumulation, and loss of cognitive function.
Cortisol keeps us in survival mode taking us away from a more joyful way of living. In this workshop you’ll learn:
- More about the impacts of cortisol on the body
- How stress can potentially lead to burn out and depression
- Breathwork and embodiment practices for resilience helping you and your clients to ride the waves of life
This workshop will involve both seated and standing exercises.
