A key dimension of the work in therapy involves an exploration of the impact of emotions on the client and us as practitioners. Emotional literacy involves an awareness of how emotions, thoughts and behaviours impact the body and the brain. Research shows that by facilitating the expansion of ours and our client’s emotional vocabulary, we gain new insights that contribute to a deeper understanding of life situations and how the expression of emotions calls for a social response.
In this workshop David will present his own new model, the EMOGram, which provides therapists with a useful instrument that can help clients expand their emotional repertoire.
