In this workshop we’ll explore the therapeutic relationship from different theoretical perspectives to gain a deeper understanding of the important role of working at depth with clients who have a trauma history. We’ll be drawing on theory of relational depth, psychodynamic and neuroscience to broaden our perspective on relational depth.

Importantly, by the end of the workshop you’ll be able to:-

  • identify key factors of trauma that challenge connection and relationship
  • consider how relational depth can be a healing factor in trauma
  • identify your default position on the polyvagal theory ladder, and what you can do to enhance embodied presence for relating at depth.

To enhance your reflections there will be time in breakout rooms with colleagues.

Kate’s workshops are popular for their practical application of theory so be ready to come away with lots of ideas and exercises to put into practice!
