Navigating emotions, relationships, and rejection can be uniquely challenging for ADHD clients. Many struggle with emotional dysregulation, social anxiety, and heightened sensitivity to rejection, which can impact their self-esteem, personal relationships, and overall quality of life. This workshop gives practitioners essential tools to help ADHD clients develop emotional intelligence, manage rejection sensitivity, and build stronger, healthier relationships.

Understanding Emotional Intelligence; ADHD – We’ll explore the fundamentals of emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, emotional regulation, and social understanding. Learn how to help clients recognise their triggers, understand their emotions, and build confidence in social interactions.

Rejection Sensitivity; Emotional Dysphoria – Many ADHD clients experience Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD), where perceived rejection or criticism triggers intense emotional pain, avoidance, and negative self-talk. We’ll discuss strategies to help clients manage RSD, reframe self-limiting thoughts, and develop resilience.

Strengthening Relationships; Social Awareness – Clients with ADHD often struggle to read social cues, set boundaries, and handle conflict effectively. This workshop will provide tools to improve social skills, navigate interpersonal relationships, and balance self-advocacy with emotional regulation.

This workshop will use practical exercises, case studies, and interactive discussions to help practitioners confidently guide ADHD clients in developing healthier emotional responses and interpersonal skills. Whether working with children, teens, or adults, these strategies will provide a roadmap for fostering emotional resilience and stronger relationships.
