About this event

Breathwork to End a Therapeutic Session Part 3 Workshop Series with Sarah Hunt

This is a practical session designed to explore a few simple ways to use breathing exercises to end a therapeutic setting. We will discuss how taking a few moments to breathe and integrate what has taken place within a therapy session before a client steps back into the busy world can help clients return to a calm and grounded state as well as remember insights gained during the session. We will discuss which breathing exercises might be most appropriate based on the individual client and what has taken place in the therapy session that day. And we will have time to share experiences and learn from each other through a Q&A and group discussion session.

Learning Objective Participants Can Expect From This Event

  • Gaining personal experience of a few breathing exercises that are beneficial at the end of a therapeutic session.
  • Learning how to instruct these breathing exercises, specific phrasing that might help clients feel clear on what to do and what to expect, and troubleshooting points to watch out for when teaching these breathing practices.
  • How to know what breathing practice to use based on the client’s individual needs.
  • Time to explore with the group through Q&A and discussion some different ways to bring breathwork into the end of a therapy session and the impact these breathing practices might have for the client both initially and longer-term in terms of integrating insights.
