About this event
Do you work with sexual trauma? Would you like to support your clients find a safe pathway to healing using just their own breath?
In this experiential workshop, you’ll learn how the practice of Conscious Connected Breathing can be used to help clients safely navigate sexual trauma to find deeper levels of healing, integration and empowerment.
You’ll also experience your own powerful guided breathwork journey and will come away with a breath practice you can immediately use for yourself and your clients.
The impacts of sexual trauma a person’s life can be devastating and challenging to resolve. Sometimes on the road to healing words alone are not enough – a client may have a good understanding of their experience and what they need to address but still the feel trapped by the trauma held in their body.
Breathwork can offer a pathway to healing that bypasses the rational ‘thinking mind’ to work directly with the body and the deeper emotional centres of the brain.
Working with breath and body awareness, you’ll discover how this powerful practice can be used in a client centred way to:
– Help a client get relaxed and grounded as a foundation for deeper healing
– Access surpassed emotions and experiences held in the body in a way that is safe
– Integrate sexual trauma trauma to discover a more connected and embodied sense of self
– Transform subconscious patterns of thought and behaviour resulting from sexual trauma into new life affirming perspectives
– Access powerful healing states that are ‘beyond words’
– Help clients to find the words that liberate them from the prison of sexual trauma
This workshop is experiential in nature and you will have the opportunity to experience the breath practice for yourself with a 20-30 minute guided session. For this session please have somewhere comfortable to sit or lie down, with cushions/pillows and a blanket so you can really allow yourself to relax and get the most from the session.
