About this event

Overlooked Eating Disorders: How to Recognise the Signs in Therapy Workshop with Kel O’Neill

‘In Conversation’ Session 1 (of 5) – REGISTER FOR THE FULL SERIES HERE

Are you working with eating disorders without even realising?

Eating disorders are far more prevalent than many realise, and therapists may already have clients with eating disorders in their practice without recognising the signs. In this conversational session, Kel O’Neill and John (OE) will explore why eating disorder knowledge is essential for all therapists—not just specialists.

Together, they’ll explore:
• The staggering prevalence of eating disorders and why it matters in therapy.
• Why therapists might assume they don’t work with eating disorders—and how that might not be the case.
• How eating disorders can show up in clients, even when food or weight isn’t a primary concern.

This relaxed, engaging session invites you to reflect on your practice and join the conversation. Kel and John’s informal yet informed style will encourage curiosity and provide opportunities to ask questions, making this a valuable hour of CPD for therapists at any level.
