Counselling and Psychotherapy are known to have powerful beneficial effects on the brain structure and functioning. Good nutrition has an effect on all aspects of the body, including the brain, and by extension, mental health and brain functioning. Research developments in neuroscience, psychology and mental health have identified numerous simple and clear, scientifically-based ways of supporting mood, cognitive functioning and mental wellbeing, many of which will be covered in this workshop.

How often do you consider your clients nutrition and what impact that might be having on the issues they are bringing? And what might you do about it if you did? How much are you affected by what and how you consume?

Are you looking for safe and effective ways of enhancing your mood? Are you wondering if there are simple and practical steps you can take, activities you can engage in, or adjustments you can make to your lifestyle which will contribute towards positive mental health?

Mark Widdowson has been a leading light in our industry for the last 30 years, and over time has come to realised the importance of nutrition in our work and how promoting good brain functioning through simple diet and lifestyle changes can have a beneficial impact on wellbeing. He has teamed up with Nicola to invite us to consider this area both for ourselves and our work.

In this workshop we will be exploring practical ways of improving brain health and well-being through nutrition and lifestyle. The workshop is open to everyone- no prior knowledge is needed.
