About this event
Some archetypal patterns are unique to us as individuals, and some we share. The Inner Critic is one we all share. It is an aspect of the Judge archetype.
As children, we observe the way our behaviour (or our natural creative expression) brings reward or rejection from parents, teachers and family members.
Our longing for love and acceptance makes us internalise these voices, which means we are constantly judging ourselves (either consciously or unconsciously).
Each choice we make is weighed against a multitude of imagined consequences. Our fear of being judged makes us ever more vigilant to judge ourselves first.
This blocks our creative expression and can lead to decision paralysis or the decision to stay in what is “known” and familiar.
Join me as we explore this archetype and learn tools to help break its stranglehold on us, so that we can move forward with confidence.
