As a follow on from Part 1 or as a standalone, this workshop will explore working creatively with timelines from a trauma and attachment perspective. We’ll explore the 3-phase trauma approach and how timelines can both be a resource and to support integration. We’ll also think about attachment and ruptures in relation to developmental and relational trauma.
Timelines are a fantastic way of drawing out themes and identifying key moment when a client’s life changed and their sense of self shifted. They can help us to understand our clients more deeply and in doing so provide a powerful visual for clients. You’ll learn how to safely work with timelines with trauma in mind.
You’ll be invited to create your own resource timeline and have a chance in small groups to think about how you might use these ideas in practice. Have some colours and paper to hand.
