About this event

Money Matters: Setting Up Social Action Projects Rooted in Therapeutic Principles Part 5 Workshop Series with Beverley Costa

Whether you like it or not, money gives you power. It gives you choice and it gives you freedom. In this fifth conversation we will be talking about how you get money, where you get it from and how you manage the money once you’ve got it. This all matters.

Of course, you can choose to go for a non-monetarised model of a project. At Pásalo we have done this with a project called Colleagues Across Borders: (https://www.pasaloproject.org/colleagues-across-borders.html) and that works because it is a small project which is satisfied to have a very small (yet meaningful) impact.

Money gives you credibility. If someone wants to fund you it means you have convinced them that you are worth it! And it makes a difference where the money comes from. Is it from a funder who can tolerate risk and mistakes? Is it from a funder who has the same values as your organisation? Is it from a funder that wants to micro-manage the funds?

Money matters.
