From this training you will go away understanding the levels of Social Care involvement when working with families. The training will explain what support social care provide at each level.
Also within this training you will understand the legal process that underpins child removal from parental care.
This is a very complicated system that many parents fail to understand. Underpinning this training we will explore parents emotions at each stage.

Who is This Workshop Appropriate For?
- Health professionals, Counsellors, social worker, family support workers, or any professionals involved with working with mums with social care involvement. This course will help provide a clearer understanding of the legal process and also how to work with the mums to engage and support them therapeutically.

- Participants will be able to understand the legal process that underpins child removal and help support families that find themselves in the situation.
RECORDING
This workshop will be recorded and you can use the ticket function to pre-purchase the recording before the event. This will be useful for colleagues who are not able to attend the event live and also for those who attend the event live and want to watch it again.
ZOOM
This workshop will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform where we will use our cameras and microphones to interact with each other as a group.

Kate is also the author of “Mums the Word – The Mothering Journey”
Kate is a person-centered counsellor and founder/CEO of the charity Motherwell Cheshire, a women and girls mental health charity.
Kate is a mum of 3 children passionate about supporting mums mental wellbeing after her own struggles when first becoming a parent.
Kate has worked therapeutically with mums involved with Social Care and also mums who have had the children removed for many years and is passionate about supporting them to move with their lives.
Kate Blakemore is the founder of the charity www.motherwellcheshirecio.com a Women’s and Girls Health and Wellbeing Charity. The charity hosts many menopause cafes.
Kate is also leading on a Cheshire wide menopause manifesto.
