About this event

The Publishing Guide: Crafting Children’s Fiction Books Workshop Series with Camilla Fellas Arnold & Emily Tuck

Are you a therapist, counsellor, coach, or professional practitioner with a powerful message to share? Unlock the potential of children’s fiction to amplify your impact through the power of storytelling.

Following on from the success of crafting your nonfiction book workshop, we had a request to support those who work with children. This workshop is designed to guide you in understanding how to write children’s fiction ensuring that your message resonates with clarity and purpose, and is accessible for a young audience. This workshop will explore creating fictional works like chapter books, middle grade and young adult fiction.

In this experiential workshop, we’ll explore different ways to structure your book and organise your thoughts to create a cohesive narrative that positions you as an expert in your field while ensuring that your book remains accessible and relatable to your target audience. We’ll discuss how to navigate the children’s and YA (young adult) publishing landscape and how to develop relatable characters, craft engaging plots and introduce therapeutic concepts in a responsible, empowering manner.

Together we’ll begin crafting the outline of your book, focusing on how to distil your ideas into a compelling premise that highlights your expertise and experience to lay the groundwork for a book that resonates with your readers and leaves a lasting impact.

This workshop is part of a series designed to help practitioners write and publish their expertise as books led by Emily Tuck and Camilla Fellas Arnold, an executive coach, international bestselling author, poet and independent publisher with over a decade of experience in the creative, writing and book publishing industries.
