Deep State Non-Duality Meditation and Dialogue – Jonny Drury

Date and time

July 27 @ 10:00 - 12:00

About this event

Deep State Non-Duality Meditation and Dialogue Workshop with Jonny Drury

Non-duality implies the fundamental oneness of all things ; that all experiences and phenomena are interconnected and not separate. Practising non-dual awareness (Advaita) dissolves dualistic thinking and moves us towards the realisation of the inherent unity of all things, leading us to a deep sense of peace and connection.

Thought creates our world, and then says “I didn’t do it”. – David Bohm

All distinctions and separations are mental constructs.

  • Learn the practice of seeing thoughts and sensations as passing phenomena within a unified field of awareness.
  • Group silence | Group Dialogue
  • How our minds divide experiences beyond the useful, creating conflict and isolation.
  • Practical tips and exercises on awareness in everyday life.
  • Understand the point of the imagination in creating goals with unifying principles.

Caregivers and therapists are often under significant stress due to the emotional and physical demands of their roles. Heightened awareness is naturally at the core of all helping and specific approaches, and techniques to safely raise our consciousness will lead to better outcomes in helping relationships. Some benefits of nondual meditation:

  • Prevent stress reduction and burnout
  • Enhance empathy and compassion
  • Improve emotional regulation
  • Increase presence and mindfulness
  • Enhance self-care and personal growth
  • Enhance creativity and problem-solving abilities

Who is This Workshop Appropriate For?

  • Therapists, counsellors, coaches and anyone looking for a simple yet profound and radical practice for enhancing the ‘being in human’.

How May This Workshop Impact Your Practice?

  • A powerful method to enhance your practice in caring and coaching, for yourself and others.

As with all of our work, this is not a space for airing opinions or bringing agendas, so kindly refrain or choose another space. Hosts reserve the right to implement any of the Zoom tools to combat this if group unity and/or safety is compromised. This experiential workshop will not be recorded and not involve ‘break-out rooms’.

ZOOM

This workshop will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform where we will use our cameras and microphones to interact with each other as a group.

The self-select fee is a radical inclusion policy to open learning for all colleagues.
