How do we maintain a relational and Collaborative learning environment in supervision when clients are children and young people?

How can we, as supervisors, keep safe and ethical practice in mind whilst practicing together creatively?

We will use metaphor and play in supervision which reflects the client group.

There will be an explanation of some of the safety considerations a supervisor needs to keep in mind.

This session will include activities and participation.

Lorraine Sherman

Lorraine Sherman is passionate about safe and relational practices with young people who have experienced trauma.

Lorraine is a supervisor, trainer and therapist with 40 years experience of working therapeutically with young people and adults. She lives in West Wales with her partner and therapy dog, walks on the beach often and meditates most days.

She is author of ‘Skills in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Children and Young People’ (Sage) and trains therapists in counselling and supervision via LRS counselling training.
